First day of classes for all students will be Tuesday, August 25 with an 11:30 am dismissal.
On Tuesday, August 25 Kindergarten students will follow the schedule below:
| 8:30 am – 9:00 am | Last names beginning with A – D | |
| 9:00 am – 9:30 am | Last names beginning with E – H | |
| 9:30 am – 10:00 am | Last names beginning with I – L | |
| 10:00 am – 10:30am | Last names beginning with M – P | |
| 10:30 am – 11:00 am | Last names beginning with Q – T | |
| 11:00 am – 11:30 am | Last names beginning with U – Z |
The regular school schedule will begin on Wednesday, August 26.
REEF – The Age of Lincoln Event

Please join us for the Riverside Elementary Education Foundation (REEF) Lincoln event, 7:00 pm Thursday September 24, 2009, Chew Chew Café in Riverside, featuring Dr. Orville Vernon Burton as he discusses his book, The Age of Lincoln.
Dr. Burton’s book will be available for sale and signing at this event.
In addition, please check out the portrait of Abraham Lincoln by world famous artist and Illinois native Mr. George Colon on display at the Riverside Public Library.
This piece is valued at over $800.00 and raffle tickets are on sale at the Riverside Public Library or from any REEF board member for $10.00 a ticket. The raffle will take place at the September 24 event and winner need not be present to win.
