The Pav YMCA and Riverside School District 96 have partnered again to provide quality before and after school programming for the 2010-11 school year. Enrollment permitting, before and after school care will be provided at each of the four schools: Ames, Blythe Park, Central and Hollywood.
The program is delivered in a positive YMCA environment of safety, support and care. Children will be participating in arts and crafts, sports, kidz lit, large and small group games and much more. Homework help will also be available for children in need.
The program will be offered every full day of school. Separately, School’s Out Days and school break camps (institute days; half and early dismissal days; legal school holidays and Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks) will take place at the Pav YMCA in Berwyn.
If you have any questions contact Mary Fehrman, Pav YMCA Schoolage Childcare Director 708-749-0606 extension 34.

Hauser School Supplies Update
August 2, 2010 by Donna McLachlan, Administrative Assistant

The TI-34 calculator on the supply lists (all grades) has been discontinued. Hauser math teachers have suggested several alternatives: TI-30Xa, TI-34 MultiView, or the TI-34II Explorer Plus. Teachers will be flexible if your child does not have a calculator on the first day of school, so you may feel comfortable purchasing one of the alternatives now or waiting until the first day of school when your child meets his/her math teacher. Of course, if you have access to the discontinued TI-34, that calculator is still an acceptable alternative. Thank you for your flexibility in this matter. Please contact Ms. Berman if you have any questions: bermanl@district96.org.
