F is for the Chicago Fire. No one knows how the fire started, but it is said that Mrs.O'Leary's cow had kicked over a lantern and started the fire. 300 died. The fire lasted from Oct.8th,1871, and ended on Oct.10th. It was a large catastrophe.

F is also for Fluorite. Fluorite is the state mineral. It comes in blue, pink,violet, purple,and yellow.
