Graduation Picture Proofs

8th Grade graduation picture proofs have been distributed to students.  Completed orders with payment, need to be handed in to the Hauser office by Friday, March 5.

There is a box in the office where orders can be dropped off.  If students did not have their picture taken on the original picture date, or do not like how their pictures turned out, retakes will take place on Tuesday, March 16, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.  Students are encouraged to come have their picture taken before the school day begins.  If there are questions, please contact Mrs. Westin at 447-3896 or westins@district96.org.

Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences

Student-parent-teacher conferences will be held on Friday, February 12 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to communicate with parents and teachers, reflect on the work they have done, and take responsibility for their learning. If parents wish to engage in private conversation with teachers, the student may be involved in only part of the conference. Please let your child’s teachers know how you would like your conference to be structured. We expect that most conferences will be with all team teachers and will include students.

Hauser’s conferences are different from those at the elementary schools in that not every parent and student will participate. Our team structure allows for ongoing conferencing, therefore many parents have already met with teachers this year. Other parents may not feel the need to conference at this time, especially because the PowerSchool Parent Portal provides instant feedback about grades. In any case, the half-day format does not provide enough time for all teachers to meet with all parents and students. If you do not choose to conference at this time, remember that you are welcome to make an appointment to meet with your child’s team teachers at any time.

Please contact Mrs. Powers in the office to schedule a conference time on February 12 between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. As always, everyone at Hauser welcomes the opportunity to partner with you and your child regarding school success, whether at fall conferences or throughout the year.
