]]> http://www.district96.org/hauser/wednesday-e-backpack/wednesday-e-backpack-28/feed/ 0 8th Grade Class Gift http://www.district96.org/hauser/news/8th-grade-class-gift/ http://www.district96.org/hauser/news/8th-grade-class-gift/#comments Mon, 06 Feb 2012 20:37:44 +0000 Donna McLachlan, Administrative Assistant http://www.district96.org/hauser/?p=2001 The Student Council officers are pleased to announce that they have selected to donate all funds collected for the 8th grade class gift to UNICEF.  Hauser students look forward to assisting UNICEF with their goal of providing resources to enable all students to have access to a quality education.  The Student Council hopes that each 8th grader will bring in $10 over the course of five weeks.  Collections will take place from 8:00 am. to 8:35 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as during the lunch periods.  The first collection date will be Tuesday, February 21st. Bi-weekly collections will continue until March 22nd.  Thank you for your support.

Gross. Typically the 7th grade game is played first, but in this one instance the 8th grade team will play first, followed by the 7th grade team.  Team members, cheerleaders, and fans all need to be aware of this change.

Boys should wear a shirt and tie, and girls should wear a nice shirt or blouse. Students will be wearing a gown over their clothes (no cap).  Proofs are scheduled to arrive within 2-3 weeks, and orders can be placed at that time.  Picture retakes will take place on, Tuesday, April 3, from 8 – 10 a.m.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Westin at, westins@district96.org or (708)447-3896.

Enrollment for the clubs has changed.  Students who apply for clubs are not guaranteed placement. In the past, enrollment has been done on a first-come first-served basis; however due to high interest, requests for clubs may exceed the number of spots available. Therefore, a lottery will be held to give all students who apply a fair chance for placement. Waiting lists will still be maintained in the case that spots open up. Enrollment forms are due by Thursday, January 12, 2012 by 3:30 p.m. If the enrollment form is not turned in by this date, your child will not be in the lottery drawing, if one is necessary. Clubs that do not enroll a minimum number of ten students will be cancelled. Parents and students will be notified whether or not they have been placed in a club.  Club lists will be posted outside of the Hauser office on Friday, January 13, 2012.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Westin (westins@district96.org).
