Traffic Safety Plan

As you know, we share a campus with Central School.  Our arrival and dismissal times are different from those at Central, however we still have significant traffic along Woodside at arrival and dismissal times.  Central School has instituted a Traffic Safety Plan to help with congestion.  That plan is detailed in the attachments here.  If you are dropping students off at Hauser, you may simply enter the Central drop off lanes on Woodside and drive along the curb all the way to Hauser.  In this way, you may avoid the congestion in the middle of Woodside.  

Please remind your students to practice safe behaviors when arriving and departing from school.  Students must cross Woodside only at the stoplights.  Bicycles are to be walked while on school property.  If you have any questions about safety at the Hauser/Central campus, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Berman or Mrs. Westin.  Thank you for your cooperation regarding this very important matter.

District 96 Calendars

The District 96 calendars are printed. If you ordered one, it will be sent home with your child on Tuesday, September 6th. Please check backpacks or inquire with your child about your calendar’s whereabouts if you’re certain you ordered one.

For those who did not pre-order, you may still purchase a calendar and pre-order the student directory (to be distributed at the end of September). They are $5 each. The deadline for ordering directories is Friday, September 23rd. Calendars will be available until they sell out.

Final Consolidation Resolution Adopted 4/19/11

Last Day of School Friday, June 3

Due to the snow day on February 2nd, the last day of school for the 2010-11 school year will be Friday, June 3rd. Thursday, June 2nd will be a full day of student attendance and Friday will be a shortened school day.

The 2010-11 School Calendar was amended by the Board of Education on April 19, 2011.
