Friday, April 10 – Friday, April 24 - All requests must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. to be included.
GRADUATION TICKET LOTTERY
Due to the size of this year’s graduating class, each graduate will receive three tickets. Families may enter a lottery to receive an additional ticket (70 will be distributed). Mr. Wolf at wolfk@district96.org during the dates/times above to enter the lottery. On your email, simply state your graduate’s name and that you would like to be entered in the ticket lottery. Only one entry will be accepted per graduate. If you do not have access to email, please deliver your lottery entry (your graduate’s name written on a piece of paper and a way to reach you) to the office in person and ask for a receipt.The lottery drawing will be conducted by Mr. Wolf and Ms. Berman on Friday, April 24th at 3:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Parents are welcome to attend the drawing. Extra tickets will be delivered to graduates on Thursday, May 28th with the rest of their tickets.
If you do not need all three of your tickets, please submit them to Mr. Wolf and they will be added to the number of tickets available in the lottery.

CLASS OF 2009 PANORAMIC PHOTO
Hauser’s historical record includes graduating class photos taken in front of the school dating back as far as the 1930s. The Class of 2009 will continue this tradition. Please send your child to school on the morning of May 8th dressed for a formal group photo to be taken at 9:00 a.m. Appropriate attire for boys will be shirt and tie and dress pants (no jeans or gym shoes). Appropriate attire for girls will be dressy blouse and pants (no jeans or gym shoes) or a dress. All clothing should reflect the guidelines of appropriate dress for junior high school according to the District 96 School Discipline Code. Following the photo shoot, students will be allowed to change into more comfortable school clothing. Please keep in mind that the final Sock Hop of the year will be held after school the same day.
We appreciate parental guidance regarding proper dress. This support will help us create a photographic memory that all will treasure. These photos will be available for individual purchase. Details will be sent home with students.

GRADUATION GOWN and GRADUATION TICKET DISTRIBUTION
Each graduate will wear a blue gown during graduation. No flowers or other decoration may be worn on the gown at the graduation ceremony. Please check gowns carefully for stains or tears, and notify the office immediately if there are any problems with your child’s gown. All outstanding fees must be paid in order for students to receive graduation gowns. Please contact the Hauser office if you have any questions about an outstanding balance.
Students will receive their graduation tickets (along with their gowns) during Advisory this day.

CLASS FIELD TRIP
All 8 graders will participate in this day-long field experience. Please see the enclosed flyer for details and the permission slip. The permission slip and t-shirt order form should be submitted to Advisory teachers and are due April 29th.
Monday, June 1
ALL-SCHOOL AWARDS ASSEMBLY
PTA TREAT
The assembly will be held at 1:00 p.m. and will include academic awards, as well as performances by the Hauser Dance Company and PRIDE Public Service Announcements (PSAs). The assembly will be followed by an ice cream treat outside provided by the Hauser PTA.

JUNIOR OLYMPICS
Graduation practice will be held in the morning. Following graduation practice, eighth graders will participate in the Hauser Junior Olympics until the end of the school day.

PTA GRADUATION PARTY
Students will report to Hauser at the regular time. Following a locker check, students will report to the auditorium for a final graduation practice. Students will be dismissed immediately following practice (at approximately 10:00 a.m.).
Yearbooks will be distributed to students as they are dismissed. All writing in yearbooks must be appropriate. It is each student’s responsibility to monitor what is being written in their yearbook. As the yearbooks will be distributed at the end of the student day, they will immediately fall under parental supervision.
The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. Students must report to school with their graduation gowns at 7:00 p.m. Boys will report to the cafeteria and girls will report to the gym. The auditorium doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for general seating.
Chappell Studio will be taking photographs during graduation. Approximately one week following graduation, you will receive, at no charge, proofs of your child and information regarding the purchase of these photos.
Graduation gowns will be returned immediately following the ceremony.
Following graduation, the PTA will host a party at the Riverside Township Hall. The party will end at 11:30 p.m. Invitations will be sent in a separate mailing by the PTA. Parental permission is required.
