New Student Registration (School Year 25-26)
Follow these steps if your child is NEW to District 96. If your child has previously attended a District 96 school, including our Early Learners Program, you will receive an email with a link to complete registration.
If you are registering a Kindergarten student, watch our informational video presentation prior to completing online registration. This video will be published on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 6 PM
Step 1: Prepare Required Documentation and Complete Health Forms
Required Documentation :
Original Birth Certificate
Valid Drivers License or State Identification Card* or International ID
Proof of Residency Documentation
1 of the Following (Category A):
Mortgage Statement
Homeownership title or deed
Mortgage payment book
Current Signed Lease
3 of the Following (Category B):
Gas Bill
Electric Bill
Phone Bill
Water/Sewer Bill
Cable Bill
Internet Bill
Credit Card Statement
Homeowners Insurance
Bank Statement
Paycheck Stub
Medicaid Statement
*If you are unable to provide these documents, contact the registration staff to discuss other forms of identification that may be acceptable.
Step 2: New Student Online Registration (2025-26 ONLY)
Go to the District 96:
Create an Account or Login with your existing account information
Upload completed forms from Step 1.
Complete/Submit the Registration Information
Step 3: Return Required Forms and Documentation to District Office
If you are unable to upload digital versions of any of the forms listed above, forms may be sent via email to the Registrar or dropped off at the District 96 Administration Center. Please include the students name in all correspondence.

Registration fees are not collected at the time of registration.

Free/Reduced Lunch and Fee Waivers
To be eligible for Free or Reduced lunch or fees you must complete and submit the application for the National School Lunch Program (Available mid-July)
PushCoin allows for two payment methods:
Electronic Check (eCheck): The eCheck funding option is always FREE for parents and all school districts working with PushCoin.
Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover): There is an additional fee of 2.9% + $0.25 per transaction to use credit or debit cards. This fee is charged by the card processor (Not PushCoin).
Parents of new students will receive an invoice via email in mid-July of any fees that are due along with information to create a PushCoin account.
Fees can be paid in person by cash or check at the District 96 Administrative Offices currently located at 3340 S. Harlem Ave.
Please Note: A registration is considered complete when ALL registration forms are turned in and the fees have been paid.
